Nullsoft Musepack Decoder v1.0 Beta Supports: -Global 'Allow 24bit', 'Use Replay Gain', etc settings in Winamp Prefs Playback -ReplayGain Analyzer (saved to APEv2 tags) -Media Library metadata importing -Burning to Audio CD (via: ML Rip & Burn) For use with Winamp 5.3x and above. Please confirm that you are using the latest version when reporting any issues. Note that many of the redundant options/settings have been removed from inmpc config. Alas, transcoding is currently broken with newer versions of Winamp:-( Plugin is provided 'as-is' for beta testing purposes only. Support will not be provided.
Please report any issues/bugs in this thread ONLY. Any feedback is welcome:-) Update: 23rd Dec 2009 -Repackaged with required nscrt.dll so it'll work on clean installs of 5.571+ -Cleaned up Prefs dialog -No other code changes whatsoever (ie. No SV8 support, transcoding still broken). Quote: Originally posted by CraigF It's much more likely this will end up just stuck in the winamp.com plugins pages. Obviously, as assumed, MPC is pretty dead and not many people will really be that interested in having to download it as part of a winamp bundle (be it the winamp package, or essentials). Not that inmpc takes up a whole lot of space, though.
And although the format may be dead in that few people are encoding in MPC these days, there are still a lot of MPC files in existence around the world. Ooops, you're right DJ Egg.
It would be sweet if they'd updated the decoding of the plugin to take advantage of the newest encoder's features, but I suppose there's only so much one will do for a format has been long inactive. Once considered the best format for high-quality lossy audio, Musepack hasn't even been recently tested against the newer LAME and Vorbis revisions for a lack of encoder development. I've been trying Vorbis's aoTuV beta5, and its amazing how good the music can sound at the lower bitrates.
At least compared to MP3 encoded at similar rates. Now Vorbis, that's a good codec with active development. Even if it's not being done by the 'official' devs.
Hi All, I found this fourm from google and I read through how it works and I'm really impressed. I thought I might jump in because I badly need some assistance fixing my computer. Let me start from the begining!
I have my monitor and tv connected to my computer and I switch between them when I need. Yesterday it started acting up a little bit so I thought let me just restart and fix the issue. Since it had been some time since I restarted windows applied like 13 or 14 updates. When I booted back up my icons were all messed up (different order and size). So I proceeded to rearrange them to my liking and then hit refresh and they went back to default.
I tried to restart again and that didn't help and they went back to the larger size (medium) default. Then I noticed other things weren't quite right like the folder settings and my usb drives aren't being detected. So I went through and did everything I could think of and it still won't help.
List of symptoms: 1) Icon arrangement goes back to default when I refresh 2) Icon size goes back to medium when I restart 3) folder settings (sort, list, etc.) were changed 4) File associations changed so now a avi file opens with quicktime intead of mpc for example 5) Usb drives are not being detected (they are marked not working in hardware manager) 6) When I start-up now it takes an extra 30ish seconds for the mouse and keyboard to come alive after windows had loaded. Treatments I've tried: 1) Rebooting multiple times 2) Windows restore to previous point 3) Windows repair with disk during startup 4) Used two different Registry tools to fix 5) Two different anti-virus program (Norton and now Kaspersky) 6) CCleaner and malwarebytes 7) updated graphics drivers 8) Checking permission for the desktop in registry Computer Specs: Windows 7 x64 Asus P6T mobo i7 920 cpu gtx 260 video card 24 gb RAM Thanks for reading! Any advice or options would be most appreciated. Welcome aboard Please, complete all steps listed here: Make sure, you PASTE all logs. Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the very same USB flash drive you've been using. Plug the drive back in. NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system On Vista or Windows 7: Now please enter System Recovery Options. On Windows XP: Now please boot into the UBCD. Run FRST/FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt) please post it to your reply. Restart normally. Please download ComboFix from, or to your Desktop.Note: In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download.
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop. Never rename Combofix unless instructed.
Close any open browsers. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix. Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause 'unpredictable results'.
Click on to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask. Close any open browsers.
WARNING: Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet as soon as it starts. Please do not attempt to re-connect your machine back to the Internet until Combofix has completely finished. If there is no internet connection after running Combofix, then restart your computer to restore back your connection. Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts. If Combofix asks you to install Recovery Console, please allow it. If Combofix asks you to update the program, always do so. When finished, it will produce a report for you.
Please post the 'C: ComboFix.txt'. Note 1: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall.
Note 2 for AVG and CA Internet Security (Total Defense Internet Security) users: ComboFix will not run until AVG/CA Internet Security is uninstalled as a protective measure against the anti-virus. This is because AVG/CA Internet Security 'falsely' detects ComboFix (or its embedded files) as a threat and may remove them resulting in the tool not working correctly which in turn can cause 'unpredictable results'. Since AVG/CA Internet Security cannot be effectively disabled before running ComboFix, the author recommends you to uninstall AVG/CA Internet Security first. Use AppRemover to uninstall it: We can reinstall it when we're done with CF. Note 3: If you receive an error 'Illegal operation attempted on a registery key that has been marked for deletion', restart computer to fix the issue.
Note 4: Some infections may take some significant time to be cured. As long as your computer clock is running Combofix is still working. Make sure, you re-enable your security programs, when you're done with Combofix. NOTE. If, for some reason, Combofix refuses to run, try one of the following: 1. Run Combofix from Safe Mode. Delete Combofix file, download fresh one, but rename combofix.exe to yourname.exe BEFORE saving it to your desktop.
Do NOT run it yet. Please download and run the below tool named Rkill (courtesy of BleepingComputer.com) which may help allow other programs to run.
There are 4 different versions. If one of them won't run then download and try to run the other one. Vista and Win7 users need to right click Rkill and choose Run as Administrator You only need to get one of these to run, not all of them. You may get warnings from your antivirus about this tool, ignore them or shutdown your antivirus. Double-click on the Rkill icon to run the tool. If using Vista or Windows 7 right-click on it and choose Run As Administrator.
A black DOS box will briefly flash and then disappear. This is normal and indicates the tool ran successfully. If not, delete the file, then download and use the one provided in Link 2. If it does not work, repeat the process and attempt to use one of the remaining links until the tool runs. Do not reboot until instructed. If the tool does not run from any of the links provided, please let me know. Once you've gotten one of them to run, immediately run yourname.exe by double clicking on it.
If normal mode still doesn't work, run BOTH tools from safe mode. In case #2, please post BOTH logs, rKill and Combofix. DO NOT make any other changes to your computer (like installing programs, using other cleaning tools, etc.), until it's officially declared clean!!! Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM): to your desktop. If you already have MBAM installed, update it before running the scan. Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program. At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan. When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
Post the log back here. Be sure to restart the computer IF MBAM asks you to do so. The log can also be found here: C: Documents and Settings Username Application Data Malwarebytes Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Logs log-date.txt Or at C: Program Files Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Logs log-date.txt Download to your Desktop. Alternate download:. Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted. Click the Scan All Users checkbox.
Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long. When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows: OTL.txt and Extras.txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
Please copy ( Edit-Select All, Edit-Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post them back here. Click to expand. That would be a subject to a different forum.

HJT isn't a lot of good on modern malware please do this Please download and save it to your Desktop. Note: You need to download and run the 64 bit version.
Right click to run as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer. Press Scan button. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from. Please copy and paste log back here. The first time the tool is run it generates another log ( Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST.exe/FRST64.exe).
Please also paste that along with the FRST.txt into your reply. Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to your Desktop Farbar Recovery Scan Tool folder. It's important that both files, FRST/FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work. NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system Run FRST/FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally.
After that let the tool complete its run. When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post it to your reply. Get rid of HiJackThis 2.0.4 because it's very outdated. Go and click the green 'Download' button to download and save HiJackThis 2.0.5 (HijackThis.exe) to your desktop.
After it's been downloaded and saved, close all open windows. Double-click it and allow its main window to load. Uncheck 'Do not show this window when I start HiJackThis'.
Click on the 'Open The Misc Tools Section' button. Click on the 'Open Uninstall Manager' button. Click on the 'Save List' button.
Save the 'uninstalllist.txt' file somewhere. It'll then open in Notepad. Return here to your thread, then copy-and-paste the ENTIRE file here. Click Start, then type MSCONFIG in the search or run box, then press the Enter key. When the small 'System Configuration' window appears, click the 'Startup' tab. Write down ONLY the names in the 'Startup Item' column that have a checkmark next to them. If the 'Startup Item' column isn't wide enough to see the entire name of any of them, widen the column.
Submit those names here in a vertical list. Make sure to spell them EXACTLY as you see them there. Go, then click the green 'Download Now @ Author's Site' button to download and save TFC.exe (Temp File Cleaner by OldTimer) to your desktop. DON'T do anything with it yet.

Hello, I've had this issue for a couple of days, there seems to be some script running with every application that uses a browser, i use two browsers, Icedragon and Waterfox, and they never show any kind of pop up or redirection or so, but when i open my email client Postbox, the main page shows directly either some porn website, some e-commerce website, or small box full of ads written in russian. Also, when i use steam, the application steamwebhelper which is supposed to load webpages and web content when in a game appears to be also getting these scripts, so inside the game if there's anything that's supposed to be loaded by steamwebhelper, these websites are loaded instead. Some other times there content of the page is normal but there are small javascript boxes all over the page, written in russian and with some pics, just like in Postbox. I've ran FRST, attached are both files. I'd appreciate your help. Step 1: Adwarecleaner Please download AdwCleaner (by Xplode) from the link below and save it to your Desktop:.
